My Story
Hi, I'm Kali Vaz, founder of Your Local Host.
I was born and raised in Salvador, a city that lives in my roots, my rhythm, and my heart. I have a background in business and worked in multinational companies, but in 2020, everything changed. While vacationing on a small island off the coast of Bahia, I met people from all over the world and, naturally, started organizing our daily adventures. That unexpected moment revealed something powerful: I had found my true passion.
Since then, I've specialized in tourism, earned a postgraduate degree, and received my license from the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism. More importantly, I discovered the joy of connecting people to the places I love and that's what drives me every day.
Our Purpose
Whether you're planning a quick getaway, a transformational retreat, or a new life chapter in Salvador, my mission is to offer honest guidance, personalized service, and real human connection, so you feel at home from day one.
